Coronavirus COVID-19
As the coronavirus crisis escalated NHS England contracted with private hospitals and other independent providers to support the NHS for a period of three months commencing in late March. Since that time facilities in all of our local private and independent hospitals have been used to treat NHS patients facilitating the rapid expansion of intensive care capacity within the local Trust. Routine planned surgical activity ceased in late March and resumed in June.
