Just to say a big thank you for my speedy recovery after my ACL injury last March, followed by surgery in May. I have just returned from a weeks skiing in the French Southern Alps, where I skied every day, building up from just mornings on the 1st & 2nd day, to skiing with my friends during the remaining four days covering 12-15 miles a day of blue, red and a couple of challenging red runs. Skiing brings such joy, not only to my life, but my daughters as well andI can’t thank you both so much for helping me return to a sport I love.
-
I wanted to let you know that I returned today from a skiing holiday with my family in France. The ACL reconstruction you performed on 1st July held out brilliantly and , according to the app on my phone, I covered over 280km in 7 days of skiing. When I had my accident last winter, I never imagined I would be able to ski again, but I really felt confident after the first few runs that the knee was strong. As our skiing holiday is one we probably enjoy most as a family, you can imagine how important this was to me and I would like to thank you for the excellent job done.

Yesterday my wife and I enjoyed a 6 mile pain free walk in 2 hours up hill and down dale from Shipbourne through Fairlawne, Ightam Mote and Cold Blows Wood returning to Shipbourne. It’s one of my favourites. I was last able to enjoy it ten years ago. We walk some three miles daily, and have been able to enjoy the wonderful countryside in our neck of the woods. With renewed thanks.

It is now almost four months since you carried out an arthroscopy on my right knee. I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you. My knee feels now just as it did two years ago. I have absolutely no pain or irritation and - yes - I can kneel again !!! Again, thank you so much you really have made a difference to my life.
-
I am absolutely thrilled as I climbed over 4 stiles this afternoon without any help! I have had no painkillers for the last two days and suddenly feel as if things really will get better. A great present for Christmas. Many thanks indeed for a brilliant job done.
-
Thank you for your exceptional care and skill last Friday. Everyone in your team was fantastic - professional, kind, and efficient. Many grateful thanks.
-
I feel bound to write this to let you know the immeasurable increase in my quality of life since my first operation in 2010 and then my second in 2013. I now enjoy walking in London from one site location to another rather than tube, especially in the good weather, and we have just returned from a short break in Nice where we wandered around Nice, Monaco, Cannes and Menton all in three days. It was this recent break that prompted me to write as a similar holiday two years ago was a struggle and the knee problem managed to do some damage to my back, this time it was such a breeze. I could go on about how much this improvement has meant to me, but suffice to say, thanks for a great job.
-
Made it to Prestatyn at the end of Offa’s Dyke walk and wanted to thank you for your help.
-
I hope the enclosed photograph makes your day! The Jalori Pass is just one of the ascents we covered in 500km of cycling and over 28,000 feet of climb to raise money for Macmillan. I think my daughter and I prove that there is still life after knee surgery!
-
Thank you again to all at the Knee Clinic and Nuffield for the superb treatment and support, which was even better this time than for my first replacement a year ago! I am a walking, golfing, anything advert for your services, and happy to recommend them to anyone who will listen!
-
Thank you so much for sorting out my knee, it is amazingly pain free now! I shall look forward to walking all next week hopefully without a twinge!

On Monday I went to the Sky Garden at the top of the Walkie Talkie building in London. Shortly after our arrival, a siren sounded with a public address announcement stating that a fire had been detected in the building and we were all to leave immediately – down the stairs from 35 floors up. There was no panic, a single file formed but the pace of the descent was brisk and we all had to keep moving at the same speed. When we reached street level my legs went to jelly and several days later, my legs still protest at the sight of stairs but my knee was fantastic. It didn’t impair my descent and there has been no subsequent reaction. 800 steps was a considerable challenge for a replacement knee but it came through with flying colours – thank you!
-
Just a note to express my sincere gratitude for your professional services over the last 17 years, culminating in my successful right knee replacement. It really was so reassuring throughout that period to know you were at hand and for me to receive from you such measured advice. I am now in a position far better than I could ever have contemplated for which I thank you and your team.
-
Just to let you know the knee is good, just cycled 20 miles around San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Thanks for my knee.
-
I just like to let you know how appreciative I am of all the work you have done and all the help you have given me over the recent years. I cannot overstate how grateful I am. My leg is in better working condition than ever (maybe even before the accident). I have recently returned from a 2 month trip to Peru and Bolivia during which I spent a total of about 3 weeks hiking around the Andes without any difficulty. I have also just signed up for my first cycling race in November, having cycled with the university triathlon club during this year. I have attached a photo of my girlfriend and I at the summit of Huayna Potosi, a 6,0m slog near La Paz in Bolivia which would have been impossible just a couple of years ago.
-
Thank you so very much Mr Gibb for giving me back a pain free life. You really are a genius, and your staff without exception were fantastic.
-
It is exactly one year since my knee replacement and it occurs to me that you may find it helpful to have some feedback. This also gives me the opportunity to again say thank you, to you and all the staff at the Nuffield, for your care last year and the great mobility I now have.
-
We just wanted to send you a note to say that Josh’s knee has regained its strength and withstood almost a full rugby season – the “almost” was not knee related but the result of a split open eyebrow – he looking very rugged now – so many, many thanks to you and your team for an outstanding job in getting Josh back on the field so quickly and on such good form.
-
Thank you so much for reviewing my case and taking action so swiftly, efficiency and compassionately, without which. Goodness knows what the eventual outcome could have been. Can you please convey and extend my gratitude to all your colleagues who helped make my operation happen and I look forward to meeting them again during my recuperation. Additionally all the support and care staff were superb and really made me extremely comfortable and I look forward to the recovery process and getting back to normal as soon as I can. Once again please accept my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for all your help, I simply can’t express strongly enough how grateful I am.
-
As I walk my dog twice a day I think how lucky I am with my two replacement knees. Thanks to you I can lead an active, pain free life. Thank you so much.
-
I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Gibb for my wonderful new knee and to you and all the staff for their kindness and help.
-
I just had to write to tell you that we’ve just come back from a fantastic Baltic cruise. For the first time in many years I was able to walk round all the amazing cities that we visited. This is all down to your wonderful skill for which I am so grateful, it really has given me a new lease of life.
-
As promised, a photo of me back on the horse following bilateral TKR. It was all much easier second time round and the walking is brilliant. I have to thank you for all your skill and expertise, it is very much appreciated.
-
It’s been 12 months since my knee osteotomy and I just wanted to thank you for giving me my active life back. I am back weight training and hiking in the countryside. I have even taken up running and I am training for a 5k in June.
-
On the Sunday we walked to Mayfield and back (5 miles in just over 2 hours and 300 feet of non-stop climb back to our house. The following Saturday we completed a 7.5 mile walk, albeit 6 miles of lanes, and did a similar 8 mile walk on 30 Dec. Last Saturday we walked 8+ miles – fields, woods and lots of mud. The new left knee felt the same as the right during and at the end.
-
It is now a year since my second knee replacement and one year nine months since my first. I am just writing to tell you how happy I am with my new knees. I cannot believe how much of a difference they have made to my life. I am walking miles, cycling, playing golf - although having to relearn everything as I have never played with straight legs before!!
-
this was myself and the famous Microdave winning supreme miniature, 5 months after a total knee replacement!! I said I would run and I meant it!!
-
I am so pleased to have had the operations. I feel I must write to express my sincere thanks. You did a wonderful job which has truly improved my now ancient life to the point where I think I can resume many activities that had become neglected. Standing at my workbench no longer causes pain.
-
A year on and the knee is perfect in operation and has full flex, I walk my border terrier every day and we cover many miles together. I look forward to skiing carefully with my grand children next April. I cannot thank you enough for the surgery. It has transformed my life as a 73 year old.
-
My two new knees have been replaced with the greatest skill and care, so I am writing to thank you for what you did. I am also grateful for your kindness during every consultation.
-
I am writing to let you know how I am progressing following my two knee replacements. I am pleased to report that all is well and I have completed the Lands End to John O'Groats virtual challenge in 9 months earlier this year mainly walking but with some cycling and have started the Great Wall of China challenge and have completed 700 miles in 94 days - 1400 miles still to go!
-
Back in October 2020 you performed a high tibial osteotomy on my left knee and in March 2022 you removed the metalwork from my shin. I thought you would like to know that yesterday I managed to complete the London Marathon in 3hrs 43mins. The knee was absolutely fine and stood up to all the rigours of training. I had thought my running days might be over and to get back to thing I love has been incredible.
